Frequently Asked Questions

What is a concierge medical practice?

It’s a nationwide concept amongst primary care doctors who strive to provide the best comprehensive care to their patients. Unlike conventional primary care doctors who have a few thousand patients, Dr. Ali limits patient panel size to only a few hundred. This gives her the luxury of providing you with her full attention, best comprehensive care, unhurried visits, and 24/7 direct access.

What is an internal medicine doctor?

An internal medicine doctor takes care of adult patients. Dr. Ali is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Besides being a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, she also participates in ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC), a process only a few physicians follow to constantly advance their medical knowledge.

What does FHM after Dr. Ali's name mean?

FHM Stands for Fellow in Hospital Medicine. Dr. Ali has a designation of fellowship in Hospital Medicine. She has over a decade experience of working as a Hospitalist physician where she focuses on patients with increased complexity requiring hospital care and a need for clinicians with special skill set.

In fact, concierge medicine has been shown to result in fewer ER visits for members because we can discuss your medical needs at any time of the day or night. If you have a life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately. A caregiver can later alert Dr. Ali so she can be in contact with the ER physician.

What if I need a specialist?

As a board-certified internal medicine physician and due to vast experience of working in various health sectors including urgent care, hospitals, and skilled nursing facilities, Dr. Ali can handle most of your health care needs. However, if you need to see a specialist, we will find the right doctor for you. This referral process will include direct physician-to-physician communication and coordination of your visit. Will I still benefit from being a member even if I don't need frequent Medical Attention?

She will work with you to come up with a personalized plan to achieve your optimal health to maintain your health goals.
